Healthy divorced co-parenting is only achieved through good communication and sometimes a third party is needed to help break destructive patterns of relating. The emotional loss of the marriage dream is a process all members of the family must go through. The spouses, as well as, the children experience losses related to the divorce and the subsequent change in the family system. Amanda and her team are there to help every step of the way. We have counselors who specialize in child therapy, using sand tray and play therapy techniques with younger children, as well as, counselors who work with teens and spouses.
It takes a team to walk a family through a divorce. Amanda wanted to be a part of this group of professionals at True North Partners because she understands just how broken, lost and scared most people feel when walking through this type of life crisis. Having all of these like-mindedprofessionals on one site is such a fantastic resource!
Amanda obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology in 1996 and was licensed in the State of Arizona in 1997. She became licensed in California in 2005 and has been on staff at Coast Hills Community Church for the past 12 years overseeing their counseling and marriage ministries. She is currently in the process of developing her own non-profit counseling center, Trinity Counseling Ministries, which will move into its new location on Sept 1, 2015.
Amanda looks forward to walking alongside you and your families as you navigate this transition through divorce.
